中国,北京——乐动网(下称:索尼中国)今天宣布,索尼中国现任董事长、索尼集团中国副总代表高桥洋先生已正式退休。索尼集团高级执行副总裁、索尼集团中国总代表御供俊元先生将从7月1日起接任索尼中国董事长,索尼中国总裁吉田武司先生将于7月1 日起接任索尼集团中国副总代表。未来,在董事长御供先生、总裁吉田武司先生和首席财务官伊东祐先生为代表的全新管理团队领导下,索尼中国将继续贯彻“植根中国、长远发展”的发展理念,用索尼最前沿的产品、技术、服务和解决方案为中国消费者带去更多感动(Kando),同时为中国产业升级和经济发展做出贡献。
御供俊元先生在索尼集团主管索尼在全球的新业务孵化计划,通过鼓励创新、发挥索尼集团业务多元化优势及开展外部合作,潜心于新业务开发及拓展。他是一位具备敏锐的商业洞察力和全球化战略视野和实战经验的业务领导人,此前已成功促成和中国本土公司的合作。面对新需求、新技术、新娱乐生态不断涌现、韧性与活力兼具的中国市场,御供先生将带领全新的管理团队,结合中国本地化的市场需求,进一步挖掘现有业务的增长潜力,同时开拓新的业务机会,尤其是促进索尼各在华公司间的业务合作,以及索尼与中国优秀本土企业之间的合作。

据索尼集团2021财年(2021年4月1日——2022年3月31日)财报显示,集团营业利润达12,023亿日元,创下历史新高。其中,电子业务得益于产品优化组合和高端产品策略,营业利润大涨66%至2,129亿日元,中国成为贡献最大的市场之一。在2022财年的企业战略发布会上,索尼表示将发挥黑科技和丰富娱乐IP相结合的优势,聚焦虚拟世界和移动出行领域,在感动空间创造全新娱乐体验!

Toshimoto Mitomo will take over SCN Chairman
a new management team to further enhance strategic position of Chinese market
Beijing, China—Sony China today announces, Chairman of Sony China Ltd. and Sony Group Deputy China representative Mr. Hiroshi Takahashi has retired. Mr. Toshimoto Mitomo, current Senior Executive Vice President of Sony Group Corporation and Sony Group China representative, will take over the Chairman role beginning July 1. Mr.Takeshi Yoshida, current President of Sony China will take over the Sony Group Deputy China representative role beginning July 1. In the days to come, a new management team led by Chairman Mr. Mitomo, President Mr. Yoshida, and CFO Mr. Hiroshi Ito will stick to the development concept of "Being deeply rooted in China and aiming for long-term development" to bring more kando to Chinese customers with the synergy of Sony's most advanced products, technology, services and solutions, continuously making contributions to China's industry evolution and economic growth.
Mr. Mitomo has been leading Sony Group's new business incubation initiatives, dedicated to new business nurturing and development by promoting innovation and utilizing One Sony resources as well as building partnerships and alliances with external companies. He has been a business executive with sharp observation, global vision, and practical experience which has been proved by partnerships with Chinese companies. Now there have been new demands, new technology and new entertainment ecology springing up in the Chinese market that has enjoyed both resilience and vitality. Adapting to local market situations, Mr. Mitomo will lead a new management team to further cultivate business growth potential and expand new business opportunities, especially by promoting the collaboration of Sony in China companies and the cooperation with outstanding local companies.
Mr. Mitomo says: during the six years tenure in China, with his global sales & marketing experience, deep understanding of Chinese market and solid operation capability, Mr. Hiroshi Takahashi has achieved a steady growth of the electronics business and a better synergy between electronics and entertainment business, while making impressive contributions to expanding Sony fans and conducting the fine operation of various communities of interest. I'm grateful for his vast dedication. Starting from April 1, 2022, Mr. Takeshi Yoshida and Mr. Hiroshi Ito take the posts of SCN President and CFO respectively. They are both strong business executives with rich overseas experience, global perspective, and outstanding management prowess. I'm fully convinced that they will inject new impetus to Sony's continuous business growth in China while promoting innovation culture and sustainability initiatives.
As FY21 (April 1, 2021—Mar 31, 2022), the financial report announced in May shows Sony Group has created an operating profit of 12,023 oku Yen, a new historical high. Due to improved product mix and premium strategy, the electronics business has seen its operating profit soar by 66% to 2,129 oku yen, with China being one of the largest contributing markets. In its 2022 corporate strategy announcement, Sony expressed its aim to create new entertainment experiences in the Kando space centered around the metaverse and mobility utilizing Sony's technology and entertainment advantages.
With the pandemic control situation improving, Sony in China business has shown the promising sign of recovery gradually. During the recently concluded 618 sales season, Sony's digital imaging products especially interchangeable lens cameras have realized remarkable performance thanks to its cutting-edge technology including high speed AF function and one mount system advantage. Large-screen TV products also defended the premium segment leading position under the severe supply constraint situation because of local factory lockdown due to COVID-19. Audio category also launched several new products including the 5th generation of popular WH-1000X series and the new models of LinkBuds series to fulfill the diversified demand of headphone users. All of the marketing activities demonstrate the unique technology power and energy of Sony in China market. Sony will continue to make unremitting efforts to live up to the expectations of various stakeholders by enhancing our operation and creating more value for vast Sony fans.
